Essential Skills and Experience:

• Degree (honours would be a plus).
• Master's degree would be a plus.
• Started (or willing to start) the qualification process as a Chartered Tax Adviser or Chartered Accountant (or similar qualifications).
• IT literate, ideally with some experience using databases for tax and accounting research.
• Highly professional attitude when working on challenging assignments in a deadline-driven environment.
• Self-motivated with strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Fluent in a second language (a plus).

The Role:

You will be an integral part of a dynamic team consisting of 3-4 highly skilled colleagues, working closely together on a diverse portfolio of private clients. Reporting directly to a qualified Chartered Accountant/Chartered Tax Adviser (Manager), you will be involved in the following activities:

Personal/Partnership Tax Returns:

• Prepare personal and partnership tax returns and computations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
• Review and reconcile tax-related data to ensure completeness and correctness.

Portfolio Management and Development:

• Assist senior colleagues in managing and developing a portfolio of UK and international tax cases for high-net-worth individuals (e.g. UK resident "non-dom" planning, owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs, and internationally mobile private clients).
• Participate with senior colleagues in client meetings providing necessary support to address their tax-related queries and concerns.
• Occasionally collaborate with local tax counsels in other jurisdictions to address cross-border tax issues and ensure compliance with international tax laws.

Research and Analysis:

• Conduct research on changing UK tax and international tax laws and regulations.
• Analyse and interpret tax changes, providing insights and recommendations to senior colleagues and clients.
• Stay updated with industry developments and trends to ensure accurate and relevant tax advice.
